Forty-six kilometres and about an hour: the resort road drops through Qusar and runs on east into Quba. It is the short hop for anyone who skied or hiked at Shahdag and is staying, eating or carrying on from the town rather than going straight back to Baku — for that, see Shahdag to Baku.

Two sizes of car on this road. A Mercedes Vito takes up to seven people; a Mercedes Sprinter takes up to eighteen, which is the one for a ski group or a family weekend with boards on board.
