Three days, three sides of Azerbaijan. This tour from Baku puts the capital, the high Caucasus and the country's fire heritage into one short, well-paced trip, with a guide throughout. It runs as a group departure or as a private trip, each with its own price. You stay in Baku both nights, so there is only one base to settle into.

Day by day

Day 1 — Baku & the Old City

Meet your guide in Baku, then the capital: Highland Park and the Flame Towers view, the seaside Boulevard, and the walled Old City (İçərişəhər) with the Maiden Tower and the Shirvanshahs' Palace.

Day 2 — Khinalig, the village in the clouds

North to Quba and up the dramatic Qudyalchay canyon road to Khinalig — one of Europe's highest continuously inhabited villages, above 2,300 metres, with its own language and stone houses stacked on the mountainside. A full-day round trip and the day people remember.

Day 3 — the Land of Fire & departure

Ramana Castle, the painted oil-village of Balakhani and the never-ending flames of Yanardag. Then the drive back to Baku, where the trip ends.
