How We Collect Reviews

Who may write one, what we do with it, and what we will never do

This page says where the reviews on this site come from and what we will and will not do with them. It is short, because the policy is simple and because the site is new.

We are new, and the numbers show it

Tours From Baku began publishing in 2026. There are not many reviews here yet. We would rather write that sentence than pad a number — if a tour shows no rating, it is because nobody has written one to us about that tour, not because something is being held back.

Who may write one

Anybody who was actually on the tour. You do not need to have paid through this website: a guest who arranged the day over WhatsApp sat in the same vehicle and saw the same thing, and their opinion is worth exactly as much.

What we will never do

  • We do not pay for reviews, and we do not trade a discount, a gift or an upgrade for one.
  • We do not write them ourselves and we do not have anybody write them on our behalf.
  • We do not delete a review for being unflattering. A bad day on a tour is precisely what the next traveller needs to know, and hiding it would make every other rating on this site worth less.

Moderation

Every review waits for a person to read it before it appears. We take out spam, abuse, and anything that plainly describes some other company's tour. That is the entire list.

Ratings collected elsewhere

If we ever quote a review written on another platform, it will carry the name of that platform and it will not count towards the star rating on this site. A rating gathered on somebody else's website belongs to them; folding it into ours would flatter us and mislead you.

What the rating on a tour page means

It is the average of the reviews left with us for that tour, with the full breakdown underneath — how many sit at five stars, four, three, two and one, including the values with none at all. Nothing is filtered out of that calculation, and the bars always add up to the count beside the rating.

Something wrong with a review?

If you think one is inaccurate, or you wrote one and want it corrected or taken down, write to info@toursfrombaku.az with the tour it concerns and roughly when you posted it.
